Normal Shmormal

Hamilton Fringe Gallery Series 2017 - Evergreen

Normal Shmormal is a sometimes humourous, sometimes serious response to a father/ son relationship.  The wrinkle in this relationship is that this father and son both have ADHD.  When your children are born you check them out; 10 fingers, 10 toes, yes everything is there, great, now moving on. Little do we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg.  What do we know about the mental health of this child.  Parents want to try and raise their children to be as normal as possible, so that they may lead happy normal lives.   Sometimes it takes a bit of time but eventually you may start to ask yourself, is this a normal kid? With this project we also want you to ultimately ask, why are we so hung up on normal - just what is a normal kid, anyway?
